Dorothy Leng
 

Dorothy Leng joined the Faraday Partnership in December 2001 as Business Development Manager and became a Director in August 2002. She has worked in marketing and business development in Further and Higher Education since 1992 specialising in developing regional and international partnerships. She previously worked extensively in the public and private sectors in marketing with a particular interest in communications and customer service. Her postgraduate qualifications include marketing, information studies, and media studies.

Dorothy has set up a new organisation and has led change in others. As an executive level manager, she has specialised in strategic and marketing planning and the development of people to achieve results in times of upheaval. She understands the challenges that organisational change presents to staff and has considerable expertise in devising effective strategies to drive change through amid the challenges of an uncertain future. A founding member of the senior management team setting up a new Further Education College in inner London, she developed an innovative management structure focussed on Student Services functions and Quality Assurance frameworks.

An experienced project manager, Dorothy has drawn on her talents as a skilled communicator, sensitive to diverse needs and aspirations, throughout her career, which has included teaching at the Universities of Westminster and London. She is a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management and an affiliate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Dorothy has trained as a coach and employs a coaching approach in her client and project management. In addition to her coaching and facilitation work with Faraday she enjoys helping clients with all aspects of people development programmes including setting up programme administration systems.
