Derek Bell
 

Derek Bell is a director of The Faraday Partnership working in management and organisation development. In fifteen years as a consultant he has worked with a wide range of organisations, both in the UK and other European countries including central government departments and agencies, multi-national corporations, local government, NHS, and charities. He has worked previously in the retail and service sectors, as a Development Adviser with the UK Cabinet Office, a Senior Lecturer in Organisation Behaviour at a University Business School and Head of Management Development in a large government organisation

Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development

 

He has also trained at the University of Surrey, Human Potential Research Project, in

Six Category Intervention Analysis, Dimensions of Facilitation, and Fundamentals of Counselling.

Examples of current and recent projects.

Facilitation, observation and coaching within development centres for senior management grades in a large government department. Further one to one coaching roles.
Design and delivery of assessment and development centres for a large company in the construction industry.
EU funded projects in Lithuania (development for senior officials) and Hungary (evaluation of a development programme).
Management Presentation Skills for Sales Directors in an international computer company.
Learning coach on a top leadership programme in an international pharmaceutical company.

 

These examples reflect a personal desire to work with a wide variety of organisations with very different cultures and needs. The above projects range from long term (over a two year period in one case) involving large numbers of people, to those involving small groups and one to one executive coaching.
