Christine comes to leadership through education, working first as a teacher, and later moving into development as a consultant, facilitator and team coach. As a director of Faraday, Christine enjoys running a business which offers leadership development, as it requires her to apply the same principles and challenges to herself that Faraday poses to clients.

She grew up in Kenya, studied and worked in Britain and lived in rural France for 6 years. Her diverse background gives her real understanding of different cultural and political contexts including those within organisations and how they can impact on individuals. She has led projects, both large and small in a wide range of different organisations including a fellowship at the University of London.

Christine has trained as an in-house team coach with The Coverdale Organisation and in the fundamentals of Psychosynthesis. She is an accredited user of psychometric instruments including MBTI and EQ. She is an active member of the International Coach Federation and a member of the European Coaching & Mentoring Council and the Chartered Institute of Personal Development. She has written books on women as managers and co-founded and edited Wasafiri, the international magazine on post- colonial literature and film.

She brings accuracy and incisive insight with an open mind and a flexible approach. Her strengths make her particularly effective at supporting organisational learning, and partnering people in identifying their development needs and designing their solutions. She has a talent for helping people enjoy their work and their lives, exploring perspectives and potential through a range of dynamic, fun, and stretching techniques. She is currently engaged in the shaping and articulation of a new intelligence, NQ.
